I'm going to buy some 18" wheels soon and I want the org.s opinion on this. Should I go with the 245s or 235s? The wheels will be 18x8s. Thanks

245/40/18...thats what i went with for my 18x8's.

 

and that's where i got those numbers from...by reading off dennis' tires!!

 

Recently, I purchased a set of brand new Momo Arrow 18" x 8.5 and they're being shipped from UK now, so hopefully I'll get them by next weekend. However I have the same question, should I go with 245/40-18 or 235/40-18...Will 245 rub or not? Anyways, I can't wait to get the Momo's....

 

The truth is that the 245 will give u more traction. However, your speedometer will be off. In regards to 245 rubbing, is negative. Personally, I recommend the 235.

 

Don't you think the 245's would be a better ride, because of more rubber and less lower profile?
