Info about 2002 Maximas.

I am looking at a 2K2 Maxima with every option available. I haven't seen the car in person yet. Will this car have the HID headlights? Also, does it have the 255hp motor or is that only the 2003's.

This one is an automatic. The only manual I could find was 600 miles away. It is a 2K3 though with only 4100 miles on it.

Yeah but this one is fully loaded...and really don't care about getting a manual. I am getting rid of a 98 Z28 stick so I am kinda looking forward to the automatic.

I haven't seen the car. I would actually have to look. I assume that is what it means.

Ask what "fully loaded" means. Some people call power windows "fully loaded". On a Max, fully loaded would be Navi, Leather, Meridian Package, etc..

The ad said "Every option including the Heated Steering wheel". That would include the Meridian Package at least correct?

yes.

but you should ask for a specific list of options. I often say "my car is loaded (minus nav)" ... and if it has nav does it have a 6-cd changer in the trunk? You should get the full list.

Yeah, I will definitely get that. There are a few I am looking at including a manual (600 miles away). Gotta get a list of options on that one too.

are you 100% sure? I thought there was an option... if you got NAV you could opt for a 1 cd-changer in the dash or a 6-cd changer in the trunk.

You can play a CD in the Navi CD reader in the dash but the NAVI HU is a cassette player

so you can have NAV and a 1- or 6-cd set up... so if he says "loaded" does it have the 1- or 6-cd set up?

OK, it's like this:

when you have Navi (I do) the Bose HU is has a cassette port and the 6-CD changer is located in your trunk (on driver's side FYI). With the navi unit, you can remove the navi CD-ROM and play a regular CD using the navi unit.

Be careful, when most sellers (especially car dealers) list their car as being loaded, many times they do not include navi in this description. Make sure loaded means loaded: navi, heated seats & mirrors & steering wheel, HSLD (if 6-sp), leather, Bose (even tho it sucks), auto-dimming rear-view mirror....
