can't answer the **** for you...but as for the boot, i have been working alongside DanNY on gettin custom leather boots made for 5 and 5.5 gens. my shift boot has been on my car for a few months now....the most beautiful thing. a slight touch that just looks so nice on the car. the 5th gen boot, he's gettin a black with JDM red stitching done, which should also have arrived (we're getting these done overseas...true leather) saturday i'm going by to take pictures of the boots that arrived which include 5.5 gen ebrake boot and 5 gen shift boot. here's an example. he should hopefully be starting a group deal very soon, once he confirms everything fits.

Looks very nice. Is that adaptor piece (the top of the collar where the top of the boot is velcroed around) going to be included? I have one of leatherseats.com and while its very nice, the top looks like an after thought. Also, since they are stitching up a boot, should have them do an e-brake boot too, so you get a nice matching set. :=

read my post again....they did the boot first, and then had the ebrake made. it was sent last week and arrived a few days ago. it's matching everything and he picks it up at the post office on saturday. that's why i'm meeting up with him on saturday.

the top section, to keep costs down, will use velcro. my boot had a short velcro part and i suggested they make it a tad longer. so you can make it ultra tight. it fits nice and snug. the picture i took was how it came. since they, i added my own piece of small velcro and made it tighter. it looks cleaner. in answer to your question, the adapter does NOT come with it. simply velcroed on, but it grips it nicely, so no worry of it falling off at all.

I hope you guys are also working on a boot for the e-brake. That thing is so ghetto and ugly. Needs more dead animal skin on it.

OK, so the adaptor does NOT come with it...but you do note that you "recommended" it be "longer" (for more of a connecting surface) but will it be higher...will it be high enough to reach, say maybe 1/2 to 3/4" onto the shift ****? I have a 5th gen 5spd VQ30DE not the 35 6spd.

I like what I see so far...but I want the top to look "professional" and not kinda "half assed" like mine currently does.

Please update me with Group deals and final finished goods pictures as I am willing (of course within reason) to get this.

And of course the final .ORG question...guesstimates on cost per chance?
Christmas is coming soon

Thanks!!!!

again, i must have been misunderstood. few things...this is definitely not a CHEAP product at all. the leather is top quality. secondly, when i meant top section, i did not mean lengthen the top, i meant referring to the top area of the boot, velcro is used to tighten the top section around the adapter. and, i forgot to add, this is ONLY for 6speeders. for 2k/1 5speeders, a boot was made......wait, i did say this already...READ PEOPLE!!....A 5SPEED boot was made black with jdm red striping. the mounting of those boots are totally different than 6speeds, so new boots had to be made. saturday i will show pictures, along with the ebrake boot pictures. as far as i know, the ebrake is the same for both 5 and 5.5 gens.

i wish i had a comparison of the stock and aftermarket boot, then you'd see how much better this. even my mother, who hates what i do, actually said "first think you've done that i actually like.....do it to my CRV".

Not to increase the sensitivity of the situation, but you DID say there was a boot made for the 5 and 5.5 gens BUT my question of the 5spd vs. the 6spd was a fitment/look issue. There are obviously differences in how the 6spd and 5spd are constructed underneath the boot. You did not show any pictures of the 5spd, hence I had to make assumptions and leaps of faith as to it being similar and what not. With the only 5spd facts being told a boot was made with red stitching and no pictures, of course questions are going to be asked. Plus the original poster owns a 2000...therefore a 5spd and since its the original post, I "assumed" that information would be available for it.

I ALSO understand that you were lengthening the OUTTER diameter of the top portion to have more gripping surface. But I asked if it was going to be LONGER because you said the adaptor was not included, and again I was looking at the 6spd picture with no reference to a 5spd.

And for the reference of cheap, please relax and don't not make assumptions. I currently have both of the boots made by leatherseats.com for my Ebrake and shift boot. I am always looking out for better products to make my vehicle look better. I was also looking for a "guesstimate" of the price as people are asking me for gift ideas (my wife) and I have to determine if it to expensive for her to get for me as a gift.

And lastly, I am going to "assume" that the 5spd boot is only going to be made with that JDM red stitching. Or will it be possible to have that frost stitching that is seen in you picture on the 6th spd boot. I guess we will wait for Saturday to see the pics and make our own determinations.

wasn't jumping at you...guess i made it sound like i did. oops.

in any case, the 5spd boot was made with red stitching simply because the .ORG member that gave his stock up wanted black with red stitching. generally speaking, the boot can be any color, and there are a few different stitching patterns, from single to double and few different stitch patterns. also, the stitching can be any color you choose. i chose my stock interior because i felt that was the cleanest looking match. the 5spd guy has a black car with black interior, so the JDM red was a nice offset.

pricing wise, i wish i could tell you, but i have no cluee. if you check the GD forum, i know danNY did a group deal a few months back on 4th gen boots. those prices should be the same as our prices. if i knew more, i'd tell you more, but i was just the test monkey. i gave up my shift/ebrake boots for new ones, and from there i know nothing. pricing is determined by him. not making a cut of it....just helping a fellow .orger out. plus, he lives like 10 minutes from me and i've known him from before the .org, so we kinda look out for each other.

and as said before, didn't mean to jump out. was kinda putting !!!! as more of a joking attitude, guess it was interpreted wrong. BASTARD!!!!!

Thats cool. I will look for the pictures this weekend and hopefully you or DanNY will give some basic pricing and options.

I agree that black and red on a black car would be nice. I will be looking more for what yours looks like as I have a frost interior too.

Please keep us/me updated as things unfold and get closer to a legitimate "offering" as I do like what I see on the 6spd.

No harm no foul....you JERK!

1) my car is still covered in snow. a good 3 feet of it, so i haven't even bothered.

2) danNY was planning on going to the post office early this morning since he was also snowed in. given he does go this morning, then tonite after work i'll pick up the boots and possibly tonite or tomorow nite i'll test them. with the car covered in snow, i'll have to do A LOT of shoveling just to get to the door.

be sure that i will be updating as soon as i can. that's also determined by danNY whether he wants me to release pictures or wait until he finalizes this prototype.
