nismo parts

i was just wondering who picked up the january import racer...they do a whole guide on the new product line that nismo is releasing in the US...just to fill u in they have 3 different types...r type..which is racing products with no warranty and they are not street legal.....the s type which are simple tuner mods that have a 12,000 mile warranty....and finally there is the legacy type which is older model nissans...the cool thing is that these products will be available at almost any nissan dealership...the bad part is they only have products out for the 350 and seR....other models like the altima, xterra, and frontier are coming out soon....once again maximas are getting the shaft.....bs......are there any other nismo performance parts out already for the max...i know that camshafts are being sold at southwest but im just curious if anyone has any installed.

The parts that they are releasing right now are pretty hot so hopefully nismo will recognize us and finally decide to hook us up with parts better than oil caps and other such parts.....o well i guess im gonna have to settle for a hat for now...if anyone has any other info please post.....and i couldnt do a search so dont btch if this has been mentioned

This news has been around since at least Summer '03, so it's old news.

It's great to finally get some Nissan-sanctioned performance parts...if you happen to own the applicable cars. My only gripe is that the parts they offer tend to be overpriced compared to similar aftermarket products.

There are some nice parts out for my SE-R, but I'm holding back for now because of the price. As for the Maxima, you need to keep in mind that Nismo develops things for Nissan's Japan-sold cars, and in Japan, the Cefiro (the I30/I35/up-to-5th-gen-Maxima) does not have a particularly big enthusiast market. You think we're gettting the shaft, when in reality, there was no market to develop things for in Japan.

In the meantime, if I were to get anything Nismo, it'd be some kind of apparel.

Peace.
