Optima red top

I just bought the Optima Red Top battery for my 2K Max but found the the positive battery terminal is at a 90 degree angle and won't fit over the Optima positive post. I'm afraid to bend the cable terminal and cause irreparable damage. Anyone else have this problem with the swap?
Thanks.

I had this problem in my 03 V6 alitma. All I did was go to an auto parts store and buy a short piece of 4 gauge wire with a ring terminal on one end and a batter post connector on the other. Then i just unscrewd the stock batter connector and slid in the ring terminal with a screw to that. Then just put on the battery post terminal. I can take some closer pics for you if you like! Here is one I have right now, but its' not a close up. Drop me an email if you are interested. CGann311@hotmail.com

Hey, this is the same battery I have in my max. First me and the guys from Circuit City had the problem, but soon as I was about to take it back, it went on.

I ask the guy what they done, he said "we had to bend the positive side a little".

So I hope that help's.!!!!!!!!!
