Audio Question

Will I need to fabricate a dash kit to put this cd player in or will it fill up the entire space? I know this is the wrong forum, but I never seem to see any action in the audio forum! thanks.

if that is a basic double-din radio (not din-and-a-half) then it will fit under certain conditions.

if you have a GXE, then it's just removing the single din stock radio and the pocket below.

if you don't have an SE or a GLE, then you already have a stock double-din radio, but slightly wider. you will have to get the GXE trim piece which comes with the air vents, and then the border needed to fill up the space where the stock double-din was wider. i say buy the GXE trim piece because the scosche kit SUCKS!! of course there is a huge price difference (scoche is ~$20, gxe trim piece is ~$85) but you will spend the 85 after you buy the scoche and realize that the color is off, and the holes are also off. i have heard the crutchfield is a good fit, but i don't know what brand it's labeled under. as far as i recall, there are only 2 radio kits, the gxe piece and the schoche.

if you see the picture below, you will see that there is a black border around my single din radio. that's the gxe piece. i filled my second din with a pocket (then eventually did my own modding) but because you will have a double, it will fill up that space pretty much perfectly.

hope this helps...GOOD LUCK!

nope its DIN and 1/2. I do have a GXE. My setup looks just like yours does right now with a single DIN pioneer CD player. I guess I'll just pull out everything see how it fits and possibly do some custom ****.
Thanks

Making a GM radio fit a max would require custom dash work...

You should be able to get this to work. Just look around for a 1/2 din pocket to put under it and you should be fine.
