Dim SES ?? please help

Hey guys, my SES light comes on really dim at night sometimes. It's like it's not fully on, but I can tell it's lit up a bit, and it only comes on some times. I have 28,900 miles on the car...do u think it's coming on dim bc I'm nearing the 30,000 mile service, or should I go to the dealer and have them check it out? Thanks for the help!!

nothing to worry about.

This is common with the 2K2/2K3 Maximas. It is basically a bad diode in the cluster itself. The dealer can replace your entire instrument cluster if you want which is a pain in the a$$.

Hey Dave, thanks for the reply!! So it's no big deal then, if the SES light really goes off, it will stay on correctly and won't be easily confused with the dim version that's on now right? Thanks for your help, I appreciate it.

If there was something seriously wrong the SES light would light up.
