For those With Front Strut Bars!

Those who have a front strut bar........what is the torque needed to tighten a strut bar on the 2k3?

i believe nissan recommends between 32 and 37, i did mine at 35

I did around 32-33 on my strut bar.

I just tightened mine until it was nice and tight but didn't force it to be super tight. Haven't had any problems yet.

Same here, was told as long as you do that, you'll be perfectly fine and i haven't had one problem *knock on wood*

Nissan specs for '00/'01 and '02/'03 5th gens are...

Front Strut Tower:
32 ft. lbs - 38 ft. lbs

Rear Strut Tower:
18 ft. lbs - 25 ft. lbs

Wheel Lug Nuts:
72 ft. lbs - 87 ft. lbs

i just used my good ol muscles to tighten the front strut bar. Never thought about the torque screwdriver.... so far so good.

It's called a torque wrench. It's made like a ratchet. It has a scale on it for torque values.
