Cattman Coil-overs
This kinda relates to my last post. What has anybody heard about the coil-overs, are they worth it? Are they quality or are they more like what I have heard about the Ground-Controls? What about ride height and what not. Thanks.
cattman coilovers are not coming out for about another month...brian catts wants me or another arizona person to help him with the prototype but he said our discounted price is $1500 or so...the normal price is around $1800...they are not out yet for 5th gens but should be millions of times better than the ground control version (hence the price)...the ground controls aren't actually supposed to be too safe (since they aren't actually made for our car or something like that)...here is one of the emails brian catts sent me
"You just have to realize that ground control doesn't offer a coilover suspension for this car. they do offer a miserable half way solution that I think is practically fraudulent. They'll sell you some pretty second-rate spring hardware without ever mentioning that there are no suitable struts available to go with them, anywhere. Plus no suitable camber plates. When they do have all of the necessary components available for a car, its about the same price by the time you piece it all together. Mine are complete, everything you need, perfectly integrated rather than you having to out together several subsystems yourself and hoping they'll got together.
that type of complete set typically goes for $1600-2000, but sorry for the sticker shock. Even at that price, I maintain that the effect on the car is so profound that it still offers the highest grins-per-dollar ration of anything I sell.
The coilover design we're doing now is about as sophisticated as anything else out there. those over-tower mounts are unique, there's really nothing out there like them\ for any car."
