Were those PIAA refills an easy install? I had a hard time with aftermarket refills, the rubber to long or the metal rods.. man Because out her in cali it dont rain to much, so the sun beats them up all the time... then the rain comes and they don't work, I went looking for refills a month and a half ago and nobody sells them anymore, so I bought some bosch junk, you just take the whole old one off and swap them out with the new, but I diddn't like the fact that my stock units say nissan on them and the bosch's dont, but the paint is a lot more glossy, than my nissan one's

PIAA are the best. (bough the whole BLADES) Had mine for 1-full year... they still work great! No squeeking or smearing. Just keep them clean, and you'll be set.

Stock wiper refills = CRAP

Yeah, there was a thread like this about two weeks ago, and everyone said get the PIAA refills; well I have had mine on for about a week now, and all I can say is, wow. They are very good wipers.

As someone said, it doesnt rain much here in Soutern Cali. But I don't know why people are knocking the stock wipers. Mine work great for over 2 years, ever since I bought the car. I just put in original Nissan inserts I got from courtesyparts.com and they work great. And they are cheap too.

I guess some people are just itching to change to aftermarket, even when the stock is just as good.

If I say the stocks are CRAP, then they are CRAP!!!

Me =

How can you diss the aftermarket parts, if you haven't tried them?... How fair are you being?

At least the rest of us HAVE tried BOTH and noticed a BIG difference.

If you don't like aftermarket products, then why even spend time on the .org?

If you havent tried PIAA wiper blades, go try it out when your stockers "died" on you. Get prepared to be impressed!

Yeah, just the refill. That's what this thread is all about. You put them in just like the way you put your OEM replacement. Remove old wipers, slide in the new one and good to go.

I just pick up $5 blades from local auto store and change every 3 to 4 months. Haven't had any problems during hard downpour.

I wouldn't pay more than $20 for blades.

optauto.com is Out of Stock on both the 26" and 17".

I ordered them from autobarn. It turns out to be cheaper after shipping. Optauto's shipping prices are too high.

I love mods, as I'm sure everyone on the .org does, but everyone has a different priority list. By all means, enjoy your Ferrari of wiperblades with my blessings.

Dont know if this is true or not but I was told that the refill's are different than the whole blade assembly as far as just the blade. The blade on the whole assembly is made of some special silicone and if u just get the refill its not made of the same thing. ANy truth to this?

Now that everyone know to get the refills and not the whole blade, who all has been in a downpour and found out that our wiper blades don't go that fast?
