80/100W headlights, wiring harness enough?

80/100W headlights, wiring harness enough?

Is an upgraded wiring harness enough to run higher wattage bulbs? or will this damage the light housing?

Also do the wiring harness just have heavier gauge wire and new connectors or are the connectors the same?

Thanks, looks like this will be a cheaper/safer option than hids.

IMHO, I wouldn't try it.
I doubt it could handle it...
I have no facts to back me up, but the wires going into the headlamp harness just... don't look up to the job

Exactly, that is why i'll be upgrading the wires! (10 or 12 gague)

I'm looking for someone who knows if the harness is beefier than stock (and where to buy just the harness)

Looks like the best setup is to run the headlight directly to the battery and use the stock wires to power a replay for on and off.

Also looking for info on the headlight housing holding up to the heat.

Yeah, the relay-method is quite frankly the only way I would consider...
Headlight housing I'm not sure about, but I seem to recall reading a post that the foglight housing can't take that kind of power... (in case you think about doing this to the fogs)
