Rotors and Brakes?

It's finally time to make the purchase and the thought of all the past discussions on this topic are going through my head. Now I'm banging my head wondering why I didn't pay attention to those discussions.

I want good cheap rotors and pads that work well and don't screech. I'm not interested in cross drilled or slotted rotors.
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

If you are not interested in slotted or drilled, then just get a brembo blank. Then put on either Axxis Pads or Porterfields. Both are good pads. Dont put Raybestos crap from pepboys.

That sounds like an oxymoron. If you want brakes that work well, you have to spend a few more $$$ than what cheap parts cost.

I didn't mean the cheapest parts available and BigDogJonx obviously understood what I meant. The Brembo blanks are known to be very good rotors. This reassures me they are. I really wasn't sure about the pads though.

brembo blanks done any way you like are 100 a pair. Less if you dont want slotted or drilled. Drilled crack quick, but slotted are good. Why dont you want slotted? Axxis Ultimate pads are 50 front 40 rear.

I thought that slotted were going to be alot more expensive and thus I didn't want to pay the extra money for them. What real advantage is there to going to slotted?

They allow the rotors to vent and cool better. Ive used blanks, drilled, and slotted and i like slotted best. If you buy from RC you might want to pick up some SS lines too for 85 (i think). Ask for Woody and tell him you are on maxima.org

Kloogy is selling his Brembo rotors and Maximam is selling his Hawk HPS brake pads. What more could you ask? There is no better time to purchase!
