we haven't heard anything yet. Don't put the cart before the horse if you read what SSR said in third reply (After having spoken with him we've decided to make an entire kit, the kit will be based on this poll right here. I'll get him to come on here and post more details.)

urethane is a must...one of the main reasons none of us have the kamikaze kit is b/c is 'glass
im down for either...is there a way to get more detail on the kit? like the rear bumper...also...more detail on the black lip of the right picture? kinda hard to see. lets hope this one goes through!

Production costs on it are. Setting up the mold for it is outrageously expensive. A company like Stillen can put up that kind of money because A. they are rich and B. They are in it for the long term.

Smaller businesses (SSR- no offense) won't be willing to put up tens of thousands of dollars for pre production without getting a bunch of pre-paid orders for it first. And on the flip side, most people aren't going to shell out $1000 for something that doesn't even exist and there is no feedback on the product's fittament.

I hat being a pessimist here and I would love a clean looking kit, but I highly doubt it will be anything other than fiberglass.

This is somebody SSR knows not themselves. Besides you could also make it out it ABS plastic too. True fiberglass sucks and hopefully they will discuss they way of making the kit.

Maybe its just me, or you've seen a closeup of the left kit, but I don't see any touring gills on it? I know the Stillen's is definetly noticeable!

And yes, you are a pessimist!

It doesn't have the slots for the gills, but it has that ricey slopey thing going into the fender.

Teddibear- how about mass production of your kit?? Holy crap, I love that front bumper. What is that thing in the middle on the bottom of your rear section? Do you have any more pics of the rear bumper and closeups of the sideskirts? I can barely see it in one of your pics.

One more thing.....I like being able to use the stock grill. Please keep the stock grill in place. It looks so much cleaner.

I think the main grill is the worst part and the front bumper on the 00-01's.

That is my main reason for getting a body kit. I just can't stand the stock grill on my max.

Thats good to hear. I say go with the right one, Get rid of the small lights in the front and add a little more kick (like Teddi's) and keep the stock grill. The left does look too much like the Sarona.

*actually, the stock grill doesn't really matter that much. I kinda like my hamburger for some reason.

Man, everyone is going to have different opinions on this. I absolutely detest aftermarket grilles. They take away the "luxury" look of our cars. I'm not a huge fan of the 2k grilles, but I really like the look of my 2k2 one.....guess I'm just getting old.

I may just be bitter about how I and other .org members feel screwed concerning new bodykit designs, but your statement gets to me. But how are you going to go and say you're going to use a 100% unique and use my image for people to vote on?

Seriously, if you say "no we do not want to hook him up", that's fine and I'll just walk away disappointed, but the way you put it is like a kick in the face. It's like saying this was entirely your idea. And it's not and you know that since you're using my signature as the basis for the kit.

I want to say thanks to those who have spoken up for me as I want to keep distance from all this body kit business as I feel that I am already owed a bodykit.

Make the one of the left and definitely give MaximaZero his cut.

Otherwise I would suggest a ban here on buying this kit.

I think its kinda weird to use YOUR pictures for their poll and then say "100% cusomized".

But dont worry, if they actually do make a kit and it looks like yours, maxima.org will have your back.

I'm just simply organizing everything, I'm not going to be selling it, advertising it, or profiting in any way off of it. I'm just trying to help you guys out.

The poll is to gauge interest in which type of design you would prefer. The design will be based on preference, if you want I could show you pictures of skylines instead, I just used the picture since it's handy. There is a unique edge on each design, one of more of a stock r34 and the other of more like a bomex style.

How could you call something your "design" you simply took a bumper off of an r34 and put it on a maxima. Designing a 100% unique without taking ideas from any other place would be called a design. Thats just my opinion though.

I don't claim to have designed either kit, but someone needs to put everything together so that people have an idea what kind of bumper goes well with what kind of car. Just because a kit looks good, doesnt mean it will look good on a Maxima. I've been all for customing a R34 bumper to a 5th gen for four years now. Even you said it yourself, your idea to produce a bodykit is based on the interest people have shown in the visual that I made.

Dude have ya seen a R34 in real life up close and personall ? Its a car that gets noticed everywhere it goes ! I know a guy here with 2 Skylines, R32 and R33- pikes peak car. And lemme tell ya everyone stares at U when U cruise the R33 down the highway, kids are glued to their minivan windows, and every ricer on the street stops and starres.... Now U tell me WHY ? I for one am going for the R34 kit so I can pop a big Spearco intercooler in there to chill my HKS GT40R pressurized VQ.
