My Maxima is my first car so im not sure if this is normal or not but sometimes say when im going up hill and the transmisssion is in third gear (most likely) and I increase the throttle to gain speed the RPMs don't rise and im not gaining much speed but if I press the throttle really hard it seems to change gear and the rpms jump from say 1400 to 2700. Why is this happening? Is this normal?
