Just installed PIAA H3 Super Plasma in fogs. Perfect! *PICS*

I've heard many arguments about the best fog setup to match 2k2-2k3 stock HIDs, but now I'm absolutely sold! These Super Plasma H3's are an amazing match! Plus, got them from options auto salon for around $50! Here are the before and after pics I took tonight.

I think it's an excellent match!

Before: After:

I plan to post more pics tomorrow after I finish my detailing this weekend. Now it's now time to replace my yellow clearance bulbs...it's down to either Polarg R4 or Raybring R130's. Opinions?

Did the same thing today, they look perfect once the HIDs warm up and I re-aimed the HID's and they are a lot better now too...

I don't see how the Xtreme Whites aren't closer to Stock HID.

Stock HID - 4300k??
Piaa Xtr Whites - 4150k

How is 5000k closer to HID????

I suspect because a HID at 4300k looks a little whiter than a normal bulb at 4300k, so the 5000k bulb (which is a little "whiter") is a great match. Nonetheless, it matches awesome so I'm happy with the way the science of it all works out here. This would be a great guestion for hidforum.com

MaximaPolak,

Believe it when they say Super Plasma are closer to stock HID's. I have been through all that and I have the Xtreme Whites. They look like factory fog lights.

you cant tell by the pictures but they do match better. my super plasma for my fogs have a tint of purple to them to match the HIDS. anytime you take pictures, it comes out more white than anything else.

Not to me they don't. The stock fogs produce yellowish light. The Xtreme white look all white. I have the Xtreme whites also.

My extreme whites matched my headlights once I had my 00 headlights with the Super Extreme whites. Now I have the 2k2's with 8,000K bulbs and need new bulbs to match I think I am going to try these plasmas first before deciding if to convert fogs to HID's.

www.autogeek.com. Yeah, I really like both. They're very easy to apply and the Klasse protects for around 6mths! Silver isn't capable of producing that deep mirror like look of black or red, so I'm pleased with the results. The Paste Glaze is a particularly good choice for lighter colors since it produces a brighter shine.

Check out autotopia.com or the detailing forum here on the .org for more info...and no doubt plenty of differing opinions!

Ive been thinking of going with the super plasmas. Do they give off more light that the extremes? I want the light that has the best output.
I use new finish car polish - it works as good as any wax and protects very well - better than my meguiars.

My Xtreme whites look very white- but when I take pics they show up yelloish
overall they perform well as fog bulbs but I'll try the plasmas for better
match of HIDS- specially from a distance when the HIDs get a slight purple
haze to them

Seconded... I have Xtreme Whites and they are MUCH whiter than the "yellow" stock bulbs, which are hideous by comparison.

Install process is really simple. I posted instructions on my site: www.cardomain.com/id/housecor

Most important part: Never touch the bulb!

Yeah, they're definately brighter than the stock bulbs. What I like is they don't overpower the HID's like genuine HID fog conversions I've seen people perform. I can't speak to whether the super plasma's are brighter than the xtreme white's, but I'd think the light output is about the same since they're both 55w. The big difference is the color of the light - the extreme whites still look a bit yellow next to the HID's.

Ahh what the hell, just convert to the brighter side with HID fogs. Good match, good light and they don't overpower your low beams.

Has anyone tried the new Piaa H3 Plasma Spark Blue??
They're rated @ 7500K and should be a good match to HID's with higher K rating.

I've had the super plasmas for like a year now and no problems. Perfect match to the HID's IMO. The only prob is low output.

Yeah, I hunted all over the net and local and nobody can touch Option auto's price. Our local shop here in KC wanted $105 for a pair! Ouch.
