Manual shift ****

I'm having a hard time getting my stock **** off my Max. I'd assume they put some sort of lock-tite on it when they installed it to keep it on tight. I've used some pretty strong guys as well as a strap wrench and I can't get it to budge.

Any suggestions? What worked for you?

i used a oil filter remover. I wrapped the shift know with a t shirt then put the oil filter remover on it and turned it. you just need some force taking them off.

A whole lot of turning, pulling, then had to cut the rest off with a sharp kitchen knife....took about an hour, it was on there with the force of God - made a complete mess of the existing shift **** in the process, but it came off....go get a sharp knife and go nuts.
