TEIN H-Tech w/ pix

Got my Tein H-tech/ Tokico Blues installed today...ride comfort is nearly stock, really comfortable. I was not able to get a decent picture yet since it was dark when i got home so more pix to come if anyone is interested.

Southwestautoworks.com sells them for sure. Give a minute or two and Steve will be here.

when you say like stock , can you be more specific? I have had the Teins for a while with stock struts and the ride is very harsh, far from stock.

How many inches did it drop. Looks like not too much. Well, better than stock I guess.

do you have the H techs or S techs... and i think the stock shocks have something to do with it.

The struts have nothing to do with the ride height. The S.tech definetly seems to be lower though

I've read somewhere that certain adjustable struts can influence the height a little bit (we're talking fractions of an inch.)
I think it was an artice about an STI in turbo or modifided.
Can anyone confirm this?

The only reasonably priced strut you can get for a 5th gen is the KYB AGX. It has 1-4 setting on the fronts & 1-8 for the rears. The only Tokicos that are adjustalbe are the Illuminas (is that even how its spelled ) Im not 100% sure if they are out for the max yet but regardless he stated he had the Blues. I have the same struts on Tein S.Tech & its definetly lower then that. The Blues are also NOT adjustable. The dampening for is slightly higher then that of OEM but I doubt its enough to effect the ride height in any way even if used on OEM springs.

The H-tech lowers 1.6" up front and 1.0" on the rear. Looks WAY better than stock. What i meant by "near stock" is that the springs feel soft and smooth...not harsh or stiff at all. It only got harsh when i got into the construction zone where there were plates laying around. Nice ride overall.

You only need to get your front wheels aligned. Your ride looks good with that springs.

Am I the only one who thinks that S-Techs lower further, look better, and most likely have the same ride comfort (negligible)?

Reminds me of my old Maxspeed drop...not low enough for my tastes, but I bet it does ride better than my S. Tech's...

Please measure from the ground to the fender (at the center of the wheel). I am curious to see the overall height.

They look my Eibach's except the Tein's seem to give a more even drop. Still neither is low enough for my taste. I would rather have the Tein S-tech's. Has anybody here done a drop with Tokico blues/Tein S-techs?

Give us a call and let me know you're a board member and I'll give you better pricing on the H. techs or the S. techs.

I want the lowered look but I don't want the ride to be very much stiffer than stock.
