Belt/Safety Harness Upgrades?

Anybody have information (web site referalls, etc.) on OEM safety belt upgrades for 02/03's? Have any of you upgraded your OEM safety belt system? If yes, to what product(s)? I'm looking for something better than the stock belts to enhance appearance while affording "a little more" safety than the OEM gear.

I don't want something that would "look too out of place" in a GLE in my case (i.e. racing harness). I'm hoping to find something subtle that would blend reasonably well with the stock seats/interior (front only).

Thanks in advance.

Hope you got a roll cage or roll bar in your car...or the racing harness is for show only....

What do you see as a shortcoming (if any) with the OEM restraints?

Is that necessarily so? There's at least one racing harnes that clips into the child safety seat clips on the rear deck

Picture this. God forbid you get into a horrible accident and the car rolls. The roof gets crushed. If you are in a 4 or 5 point belt, you cant duck! You are strapped in and cannot move. You will die. I seen a pic of a stang that rolled on a racetrack, and the driver and passenger were wearing 5-point belts, and they died...

Haven't hear of any "better" OEM belts but you might take a look at the new CG-Lock that installs onto the OEM belts. I have no info good or bad yet as it's a very new product on the market.

Nothing specific. I am reasonably confident in the OEM system coupled with the front-side SRS in my GLE. But...if there is something out there that adds safety, stabilizes driver positioning when needed and also enhances the OEM interior I'm interested (excluding rice/worthless add-on crap).

Thank you for the reference, I appreciate it.

uh....mine is not the 'show-only' racing harness...mine are actually the same ones that are worn by racing drivers...5 point AutoPro harness...it's actually DOT and SCCA approved...

but i don't wear those harness when i'm driving around town...they're way to bulky and it's a hassle. i still kept my stock seat belts...

and as for rolling over my car....well....i just pray that'd never happen...
