I can only rave about the Toyota I owned as well as others in my family. I personally like both Tundras and the new Titan. I don't think you can really go wrong with either.

The Tundra is nice, but looks way too much like the Ford F150. The way the Tundra is designed engine wise it is pretty much useless for heavy towing because of the poor oil system. I'd go Ford, yes Ford they make and incredible truck or even Titan, but then I don't care much for the Toyota. Just my opinion. Chris

While this may be true. The best looking truck IMO is the dodge-ram quad cab, however most domestics are not up to the quality control standard as it's import counterpart.I personally have not had a problem with nissan nor customer service, but look around the board see how many conplaints you see about the two. Thats the reason I want to stay away from the titan. Remember it's an all new platform / vehicle. I don't want to be the ginny pig.

I agree with papa smurf, you gotta be hit upside your head to make that kind of a change, but whatever floats your boat. If you want a pick up truck, buy American. None makes more rugged trucks than Chevy or Ford. (left the Dodge out lol)

If you are not using it as a dump truck- you cannot
go wrong with the Tundra- you get better resale
value, quality, proven and reliable 4.7 V8 with a good tranny

Now you must be hit upside your head to even mention ford. The only reason ford F-series is the number one selling pick-up is because of fleet sales. ie army and other big corporations buy in large quantities. If I had to but american it would be chevy/GMC brand, but no american for me.

Ford, GM and Dodge to make great trucks no doubt. But my family has had Nissans and Toyotas forever, never had any problems. The Nissans are bullet-proof and so are the Toyotas...... Test drive them, I saw the titan today at the dealer, that is one sweet truck.

the dodge with a manual tranny is a very nice truck with good quality control. If you're going to tow I'd avoid the auto tranny, though... they suck under load.

And unless you drive around with at least a 1000 lbs in the box, it feels like there is no suspension.

I'd go for the Titan, it's more truck for the $.. it has also been rated as a better truck by many reviews than both Tundra and F150 yet F150 gets the truck of the year award at Motor Trend since they jock Ford so much.
Titan is newer, it's a Nissan, it's interior is
stay in the fam

Reviws where did you read a review besides the very first one talking about what the truck would probably have. I'm thinking it hasn't even been tested by motor trend yet but I may be wrong. The long term test is what I care about not the one they do to see how fast it is or how much it can pull.

I have never owned a pick up truck myself, but since everyone has a right to free expression on .org and not only, I just wanted to make a point of getting a domestic truck vs. import. It has nothing to do w/which one is #1 selling truck, reliability of the brand overall, or just being fancy. FORD makes crappy cars, but they sure do know how to build their trucks. Check out your local classifieds and see how much the used F-series are going for, the year, and mileage on them. Chevy also makes mean trucks. Toyota and Nissan are new in pick up truck business and I just wouldn't trust them.

I like them too. The thing that I don't like is the bed of the new Tundra. It looks like crap with the rounded sides.

Oh yes it does have to do with reliability.Have you seen the recall list on the f-150 or dodge ram? Maybe you should get aquainted with it.

Being born and raised in South America I have to disagree with that statement because both toyota and nissan have been making truck for a while whether or not they were for north american market is besides the point
