The Day Finally Came
The time had finally arrived and the oh so hyped VQ was called to the line. The challenger, in fact, by the looks of it it must have been the champion, 2004 Grand Prix "EW" car. (Girlfriend calls them EW because they're nasty looking)
The Sunburst Orange GTP gracefully exhibits body roll into its right hand turn and ends up 50 yards ahead of the glistening sheer silver I35. The I35 can no longer withstand the taste of sweet revenge against all those ClubGpers that doubt the power of the VQ against a lightly modified Blown Domestic. So the I35 lurches forward, passing the fantastic 4K barrier where WOT seems unnecessary. The GTP seems eager, opening up its horrid sounding aftermarket exhaust. Thankfully the stop light gods were shining upon these two chariots and graced the champion and challenger with a yellow and finally red light. The Sunburst Orange GTP sits in the left lane followed by the Silver I35 in the middle, the stretch ahead seems endless. However, to the joy of the GTP driver two lone cars turn in front of the staging beasts, cementing the notion that the I35 will not be given the opportunity to shine up top. Fear comes across the VQ motor as it realizes it must somehow launch with the superior torqued GTP in order to gain the title on this fateful night. The stoplight gods decide the time has come and the battle must begin. The crossing lights turn yellow and the GTP torques up for the launch. The driver of the VQ realizes that his Impotenzas are no match for the 255 hp 246 tq launch he would like to deliver, so he chooses to launch from idle. Light turns green, a small squeel comes from the GTP and the I35 barely peeps as its driver rolls on the power. 5mph, 10mph, 15mph, and BAM, time for the VQ to deliver it's silent but deadly blow to the screeming GTP. As the two cars scream along the roadway approaching 70mph the VQ glances at its side mirrors and sees a strange site, the domestic torque monster is sitting, headlights in the mirror, straining to catch as it realizes it is soon out of breath. There is no walking on this day, in fact there is no creeping, the GTP has lost against the naturally aspirated, autotragic VQ35DE.
* There was no conversation with the GTP owner to see if he had more modifications than the exhaust because he was a bit ****ED.

hahahhaa
craig linked me to this.
nice story, I was having fun with my car earlier today. As long as its not idling its a bundle of fun to drive, but right now my VE is acting like it has some 3500-8500rpm cams installed in it lol.

I looked at Pontiac's webpage and their test results:
Quarter Mile:
GTP - 15.015
MAX - 15.496
Braking:
GTP - 112.3
MAX - 120
100' Skid Pad:
GTP - 0.827
MAX - 0.822
Altima 3.5SE 0.844
600' Slalom:
GTP - 62.47
MAX - 61.26
I read the test background and I think they either left the TCS on or spun the tires a whole bunch cause the Quarter Mile seems slow.
P.S. Great story telling!!

Thank you for causing that unnecessary flashback to my High School Literature Class. My head hurts now.

i think in a 2k2+ you would have to have 3 passengers plus a full tank of gas to get such a sh!tty time

Sickest story i have heard in a while... Speaking of track times, anyone know where i could get stock track times for cars. My friend with an 2k altima thinks his slow car can keep up with me because he did headers pulley and exhaust. I was like please...

From what I gather, the 2.4L Alty (1G/2G) is good for mid 16s but, checkout www.altimas.net to verify whether or not that's correct.
