I need a 15K Maintenance for my Maxima '02 and was amazed by how much it cost at the dealer ($269), especially since the list of items to be performed contains nothing significant. However I don't want to go elsewhere or do it myself.

Any advice on the "must do" items for 15K? (I am following schedule-2) Are the labor-expensive preventive inspections suggested by the dealer that ctiritical?

Na man, you dont have to do that at the dealer. That would only cost about 120-150 at any normal garage. As long as you keep a receipt just incase something ever happens to your motor, it is almost like having the dealer do it. You dont have to be THAT loyal to nissan. They are tryin to screw ya for almost 150 bucks.
