Attention to those with Tein Drop:::
I have had my tein/tokico combo on for about a good 6-8 months now...
I have run into a problem. When I turn the wheel and drive about 5mph, I hear a clicking type noise. I have yet to diagnose the problem. I think it might be the cv-joint or boot, but not sure.
Has anyone with this drop had a problem with any clicking noise???
I want to take it to Nissan, but I don't want them to give me the run a round. or even them saying the problem was caused by your drop.
Anyone with any suggestions or similar problems???

Yeah, got the same problem. I recall seeing 20+ members post about this problem be4. I have the Tein/Tok setup & this problem didnt occur til after 8000+ miles were on the suspension. I have over 10K on it now but its weird.
It doesnt only happen at 5mph, you could be going 2mph in reverse or drive just as long as the wheel is cut all the way left your right.
It kinda like a grinding noise that just makes your feel like taking a hammer to the car. I just dont cut the wheel all the way anymore, Once it has about 2-3" to go be4 it locks to one side, ill stop turning the wheel.
My bet goes to saying its the front struts, if said this many times but if I were to do my suspension over again id get either Tein or JIC coilovers. I dont feel like replacing struts over & over. The odd thing is the struts dont act like they are blown, they dont bounce at all & controls the front end fairly well

A popping sound when turning (usually to either direction) could possibly be a worn upper strut mount.....at least it was for me.
Yet if its a clicking sound when turned (usually a specific direction) its probably the cv joint(s).

The CV joint will make an anoying PING PING PING PING PING sound, kinda like poping. The sound on mine sounds like a metal on metal grinding type of noise & is definetly from the front suspension.

I had this problem also, There is a thin plastic bearing in the shock mount. when this bearing goes it makes a clicking sound. U will need 2 of them, 1 for each side. They are like 5$ a piece. Sorry I am at my GF house i dont have part# When i get back 2 my house I will post the part # if I still have it. If I recall have to take shocks out.

Im still wondering if it is that bearing in the strut mount I have a feeling that when I pull it out & call for the part, its going to be a special order and I would have taking the suspension apart for no reason
For now I guess ill just live with it, the way the suspension is the car drives just fine. No bouncing or anything that resembles a blown strut. I just cant use the last 2" of the streering wheel or it will grind.

i am with you man....i will just live with the noise for now too....
i know it is not a blown strut, because it would make a noise when the car bounces, but it doesn't....
the noise i get is from turning at low mph.... i think most likely it is a cvjoint or the boot...
i might take it to nissan, but you know how that will go???
