Check Engine Light - Warranty Covered?

Check engine light coming on (most likely O2) sensor, would it be covered by manufacturer warranty?

Is there a deductible? My brother pays $50 deductible everytime he gets his Jeep repaired under warranty.

huh?

I argue....I just paid 260 to replace ONE of the sensors at 38.5k miles. And the SES came back on and I just bought another sensor and attempted to install myself with no success, Bank 2 Rear is TOUGH to get out. If this is covered under warranty I sure didn't see it or hear about it. I'll check again, for SURE. But I rememeber O2's being under 36k/3yr, not 60k/4yr. I hope I'm wrong....

No deductible. Jeep/Chrysler warranties have deductibles

The first 3/36 covers everything w/ $0 deductible. The 7/70 covers powertrain and there is a $100 deductible. BTW, O2 sensors aren't covered by the powertrain warranty -- same as with Nissan.

Ammi, if your brother is paying $50 each time, he must have a Jeep purchased before Chrysler came out with the "free" 7/70 and must have also purchased an extended warranty.

Nope, Federal emissions warranty is 8/80 and only covers the catalytic converter and ECU. Check you're warranty information book.
