I had a SES light come on so I took it to the dealer. It was P0420 P0430 Three way catalyst function (oxygen sensor rear) but he then proceeded to tell me that my ECU needed to be reprogrammed reflashed because it just needs to be updated. Grand total including labor for the reflash and oxygen sensor $361. I told them to just reflash the ecu and I would deal with the rear 02 sensor later. So after they reflash the ecu they say that the rear 02 sensor problem was fixed because of the reflash! So I only paid $131 Yay!!!!!

 

thats really unfortunate for you, my dealer fixed both the codes for free. its a tsb off the nissanusa.com webpage

 

Tru-Dat. TSB indeed. Infamous A33 P0420 SES. Only way he was charged was if he had over 60K mi.
