Short throw shifter Q

Whats the best STS out there for a 2k 5speed max?

How good are the SMC units?

I have to recommend the B&M shifter. I have it on my 97 and the shifts are very short. See sig for website and details.

Is the shifter itself any shorter in height over the stock one??

i don't know if the SMC units are still being sold, but if i remember correctly, they were re-badged Pacesetter short shifters. i have the Pacesetter SS, it was pretty cheap(around $65), and it's height adjustable with short throws.

B&M piece is a good short shifter, but it's alot more expensive then the Pacesetter counterpart.

The B&M is about 3" shorter than the stock one.

i've got the SMC, they dont make them anymore. I Couldnt be happier with it.

good to know....how far did you adjust it prior to install? I know you have to lift the car and install from underneath, correct? Can you adjust once installed?
