hey . if any of u 5th gen guys want indiglo gauges, then i'll need some input. Inital K Auto Concepts here in so cal is only going to do it if there is a good "response"

so. if someone can help me out, say gimme the differences in gauges from 2k GXE/GLE/SE and 2k1 GXE/GLE/SE
then i can convince them to get y'all indiglo blue/green gauges...

please email me at Chebosto@hotmail.com

Yeah, I want in too. have a 2000 GXE. don't know the difference if any between gauge clusters between the models though. I know the SE has the titanium color faces, but as for the GXE and GLE, I don't know.

Thanks for the advance input though. been looking for these for awhile.

i'm in...i'm pretty sure the only difference is the guage bezel...it is only different between a manual and automatic, but i doubt these guages come complete w/ a new bezel (the black plastic thing around the guages)...i'm almost positive the gxe/se/gle guage size/calibration are all the same

if anyone knows someone who wants to make a carbon fiber guage bezel...i'm in for one...i will probably even go for aluminum or anything

Is that the exact look of the indiglo gauge or just an example on how it would look?

no. someone was telling me for the redline indicator for SE's. the actual RED LINE lites up to tell you you're revving too much.

so. there might be mini holes at the RPM redline area for the SE's but if the GXE/GLEs don't have it. those holes might look funny....
u know what i mean?

well i'm sure they will have to make one for the auto's and one for the manuals. haven't ever seen a manual transmission max here in my area (why? don't know...but I don't think the dealership likes to order them. they told me about a 2 month wait for one...just took the auto myself), but back on subject. The auto has a gear indicator between the tach and the speedo. do the manuals have this? if not, they are gonna have to make two different models.

You must be talking about the redline indicator on the indiglo lighting? The stock guage cluster doesn't do anything special at redline. One difference between a 4th gen and 5th gen is the gear indicator on gauge cluster for the automatics.

ye the only difference i know bet gxe and se is the color of the gauges... black on gxe and gle and titanium on the SE
is it possible to have them titanium color when the indiglo is off and still glow at night? i dont think there is a difference between the gauges on the 5spd and Auto... cause the only difference is the middle wear it shows what possition ur in... but the actual gauges are unaffected... maybe someone can post pics of the 5spd dash? but ye im real intersted in this

That is BS, someone thinks that in there dreams....both my Maximas 2000s, SE's, one auto, one 5spd both do not have that.

so any updates on this? i've been waiting for indiglo's for awhile...how many more people do we need etc...just any updates would be nice...if we only have 25 people and they need 50 or so...i'd be willing to pay a little more (normal price should be around $80 so i'd be willing to buy 2 sets and then sell them to a couple people i know around here that don't look at the boards)

last i heard...

this is an email i sent with the reply from www.importintelligence.com

my email:
sorry, i'm sure you've been asked this already... but is there any possibility that you will be making this for the 2K Maxima? i know a bunch of people who are more than ready to buy if you make them. thanks.

-alex.

We will need a donor for the gauges before we can make them. We would love to do them and yes we have gotten a load of E-mail about 2k max gauges but we are searching high and low for a used cluster.
-Matt
www.ImportIntelligence.com
heh... that was almost a worthless email, i know.

i'm not really sure about the guy in LA, tho. can anyone in the "610" area lend him some gauges? pleeease?

Yeah, the reverse indiglo look is definately better than the regular ones. I'd wait for those.

Now if they only made them for my ole '93 Civic DX. Hey, gotta treat the girl to something nice sometimes since she's been so dependable. Heehee.

I'd rather keep the SE gauges and change the needles. IMO, gauges will attract more attention (that's good if it's your intention).

so how much are they total?
i dunno... they are blue so its cool... i like the blue look... but i will wait for someone to get them around me so i can see them in person... i dont like it that they emit so much light that u can see light on the gauges... but i dunno if that is like that just in that movie or if thats how they are...

Not sure on the pricing... they do mention it in the thread somewhere. I believe it was somewhere around $60, but not too sure.

I was talking to Turbo95Max about the needles and how much trouble it would be to change them. He told me that install will be somewhat complicated... but I'm willing to try.
