tomorrow im going to 01 se rear light housing. does anyone know if any modfication is required to go from 03 housing to 01 housing?

 

I believe you need the 01SE harness to make the swap. At least one of the 3 bulb sockets are different.

 

Go to nissan parts and some slicon gasket or some regular home depot GE slicon 2. I think you need 01SE harness.

 

so if i was to switch out the light with a person with 01, we can just exchange our harness?

 

I'm not sure, but I hope that the 01 harness would be compatible with the existing plug in the 02.

I have some 01 lights with the 01 harness. I'm hoping they will be 'plug and play' in my 02.

 

yes just take his harness, the reason I say they different is because then you buy new light from 02+ to put in -01 they come with different harness here is diagram http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchan...de=26550-00003 also pm davidmax for more info.he did this swip. Bluesbrekr is right 01light = 01 harness.
