Get this - Someone in NY is selling my car on Ebay! Someone logged onto my cardomain site and brought this to my attention. He pointed out that the seller was using a bunch of my pics, but didn't get a response.

Funny thing is, the guy is claiming my car is Titanium Silver, which isn't even true. Personally, I think it's really deviant to post pictures of someone else's vehicle since it's not even the vehicle he's selling!

Do you guys agree this is wrong? I'd like to alert those bidding on my car on Ebay that they're not looking at the car they're trying to buy. Who knows what condition his vehicle is in! I'm not sure where to run with this. Suggestions??

Here is the auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2452824379

I think it is misrepresentation on the seller's part. That is as wrong as two left feet. He should give you 10% of the selling price for using your pics w/o permission.

That person is retarded. I hope no one gets suckered into buying his. I'm not sure what action you can take. I've seen some ridiculous things on ebay but this is crazy.

Quick update - I just sent this to the seller. We'll see if he responds. Judging by your responses, maybe I should have said to rip the pics down...

zorick - The pictures you've posted on your Maxima auction are from my cardomain site. While I'm flattered by your description, I feel you should at the very least note in your auction that these pictures aren't of your car. People use pictures to reference vehicle condition, so I think pointing this out very clearly is essential. Also, my car is Chrome Silver, not Titanium Silver - Your buyer is likely to be rather annoyed when you deliver a car that's a different color than the car in the pics. Please make these corrections or remove my pics from your auction. Thanks.

"Sheer Silver" is called "Chrome Silver" in Canada.

you are too generous... he's a scam artist and is trying to steal someone's money. I'll be surprised if he actually has a car at all. Notice his last feedback is from over 3 months ago so you can't see the other things he's sold?

anyway, if he does not reply I'd make a new ebay name and do BIN, then when he asks for payment you ask him for a reply to your first email...

Or, an org member in that area can ask to see the car. Take a few buddies along in case he is up to no good.

I believe that he seems shady too. What does that have to do with bursting anyone's bubble? If it can't be viewed ahead of time, that's fine. If he had pics of the actual car he was selling, it would look more legit. Everybody does not know how Ebay works. I would personally never buy a car that I did not get to thoroughly inspect and drive first.

That p!ssed me off so bad, that I even reported it. Selling a car with pictures that aren't of the actual car is completely fraudulent. Granted, the guy probably just doesn't own a digicam, but tough ****.

How the F.UCK is he trying to sell your maxima?

Report him to Ebay for false advertisement?

He is showing pics of your car when in fact he is selling some beat up S.hit.

this guy is a **** bag. some guy almost got me a few months back on a 325ci. had to report him to the secret service and all. they take internet fraud very seriously. a member here helped me out big time and had the escroe site shut down in like 30 min after i told him about it. it still ****es me of today to think about that or someone trying to do the same thing to a fellow org member!
