Just out of curiousity, where is the outside temperature sensor (the AMB button on your climate control) located on the outside of the car? Thanks.

 

The sensor is located just inside of the front bumper. Here is a pic of the auto-dimming mirror temperature sensor, which is mounted directly beside the AMB sensor: http://www.fourthrock.com/maxima/mir...l/DSC00013.JPG

The auto-dimming sensor is blue and black but the AMB sensor, which you can not see in the pic, is all black.

Note there are 5~7 different sensors throughout the car, inside and out, that encompass the auto climate control functionalities and is not limited to what the outside air temperature is.
