Keep Eibachs or Switch to Teins S.

I'm on Eibachs and AGXs now. I definately want to get the Tokico Illuminas, but I'm debating on whether or not I should go with Teins or stay with the Eibachs....Ride as its stands is very stiff and I'm used to it. I don't like the fact that the back seems lower then the front. My main question probably would be are the Teins more of a harsher ride and are they that much lower that I would have to worry about camber. Help is always appreciated.

The back doesn't look lower with the Teins and you won't have any camber problems.

My thoughts

I took a ride in mdeals max today - he has Tok Blues and Teins. He has a stillen FSB/RSB, and rides on 235/45/17 sumi HTR +s on stock 17's.

The drop is SWEETly even...maybe just a tad lower in front. Just a hair higher than slammed -- defintely the SWEETEST drop.

The ride was surprisingly not Harsh, but you could definitely notice the smaller bumps in the road, in comparison to my bone stock ride with FSB/RSB.

It was actually not NEARLY as stiff as I expected it to be, and was pretty similar in lateral g's and body stiffness to my ride right now. If I had MY wish, I'd want the TEINS to be a bit more stiff but maintain the same drop.
To me, the TEINs provide a very similar STOCK ride with a substantially lower body.

For those of you following my posts: I JUST got my TOk Illuminas and Progress springs, and should have them installed within the next two weeks.

i'll post and let you all know how they ride when I get there.

I'm HOPING that the adjustability of the Toks will allow me to dial-in the firmness of the suspension, as I favor a little more aggressive feel to my whip - while still remaining compliant.
I attribute this to superior DAMPING, and hopefully the Illuminas will do this with flying colors.

rgds,
gr

That's what I want, an even drop without having to go with coilovers.....I think I'll bite the bullet and get the teins and the illuminas. I should be able to easily sell my old setup and shell out a lil extra more for the new...thanks guys!!!!

Did you need to buy 4th gen springs to sit those Eibachs on AGXs? I heard the 5th gen springs don't fit in the rear with AGXs?

Sounds like you already know both sides of the argument. Just depends on what your priorities are in terms of looks & ride comfort...

I voted for upgrading to Tein's, but if you're worried about the back being lower than the front, you can always put your stock springs in the back and keep Eibach's in the front. Then you'll have a somewhat even drop. Good luck.

What you want out of them should guide your decision. My eibach drop is fine for me, and for some reason the front and back look pretty even, but the performance is excellent. And the AGX's have met my expectations as well. I do know that the Eibach is an excellent spring, so if you've got a better reason to go to Teins as far as performance goes, I'm listening.

The dillema is killing me too... modding a Nissan vs a VW is like speaking a different language - I have to relearn everything. I'm looking for a nice even drop that isn't harsh (stock ride qualities)... the Progress drop looks good, but Eibachs are so available used...

What is that setup. It looks neat and not too agressive. But I still love the Tein/ GR-2 setup better.

I just install my teins w/ illuminas, and i just love this set-up, nice smooth ride, much better then my eibachs and tokico blue, the eibachs and blues where just killing my back the ride was too stiff for me and for anybody else that was in the car with me.
