Dealer stripped strut tower bolt.

Hey guys,

Dealer was replacing some part of the strut assembly and after they were putting
everthying together they stripped one of the bolts on strut tower.
I was trying to put FSTB back on and there is no way that bolt can be moved. Not
only it is stripped but they torqued it so much, morons

Is there any way to remove that bolt? I want to bring the car back to them and ask them
wtf?

IDIOTS with airtools. Geez does ANYONE finger start nuts/bolts anymore??

Take it back to the dealer and have them REPLACE the upper strut mount with a new one. Or maybe put a new stud in there. Can you see the stripped threads on exposed bolt?

I think it would be better if you just bring it to them the way it is now. Once you've touched it, they might not wanna admit that they did it.

If they wont replace it or fix it and you have to the only thing you can do is have a shop weld an impact socket onto the stripped bolt and then you can remove it.

I stripped the main bolt on my strut tower and this was the only way i got it off.

but yeah, dont touch it and immediatly take it back to the dealership first.

IDIOTS!

Who are they hiring these days???? It's not like they don't get PAID ENOUGH! Most of the people in here are better mechanics than some of the people that work on our cars at the dealership!

My dealer broke one of the bolts that holds the headlights on after installing the data dot BS. Doesn't this make them even easier to steal? Nissan service is third world.
