since you already have the greddy, I dont see a point running stock and super restrictive ypipe with it. so I voted for ypipe.

I like both mods. The Y pipe gets my vote for great performance increase but the downside is your exhaust will be somewhat louder.

Y-Pipe is the way to go. The gains are there. It will be louder though, but since you already have the EVO, loud is probably not a huge issue.

I'd say go for the y-pipe unless you want to avoid any more noise. UDP makes ya a bit quicker, and no noise is associated with it. But first choice, go for the y-pipe

Does the y-pipe make the car drones more? Im just afriad that the y pipe/ greddy evo/ frankencar combo will become too loud and attract cops.

yes and yes.....mine drones and it is only a 3.0 engine. It is loud too.

greddy evo with stock ypipe - nice deep rumble, no drone.

greddy evo with aftermarket ypipe - you will hate to stay in 2000 - 2500rpm....drone like a mother.

Here's a thread with some more detail of my noise impression with the Y. I also have a Greddy Evo and CM straight pipe.

It will make it a little louder but nothing that will attract cops. I had a GReddy Evo on my Eclipse and it was way louder than the EVO / test pipe / y-pipe on the Max.

Between these two, I'd say the Y-pipe will be next.
