question about oil caps (aftermarket ones)

i was wondering if they if on all cars like the stillen oil cap. i just bought an apc billet oil cap but i was wondering if it will work. i put it on my car and it fit but just wondering if it it might cause problems later in the future. mb it doesnt close it all the way. how would i be able to test this? It is on there tight but i just want to make sure. i bought it off the org and the pervious owner had it on a 4th gen. so is it ok to use on my 03? or should i just put it on my 4th gen?

It doesnt go on all the way? As long as it screws on some and doesnt seem to be goin anywhere anytime soon, it should be fine. An oil cap is an oil cap. I wouldnt worry

Your Maxima will be just fine. Long as the threads match up, no problem

if it turns fairly easily at first while its goin on, the threads probly match up. I would think that they should, since oil caps are pretty generic
