Car pulling to left/ vibration in the wheel
#1
I have a brand new, and I am getting the feeling a bad choice, 01 SE. I have put 700 mile on it now and there is a left hand pull that is getting worse, and an on again off again vibration that is occuring. Is this vibration the one described in the TSB that is available for brake ludder? Also those that have had the TSB done did your Max pull in either direction if so did it go away once the TSB was performed.
The vibration is noticed more in the wheel, but it also shakes the mirror to the point I have to put my hand on it make it go away. Before I take it to service I want to have the most info I can so I will not be taken advantage of. Any info anybody can provide would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I had the same problem on my 2001 SE AE. It would vibrate as I braked coming through 30 mph and would pull to the left on the highway. When I went in for my first oil change, the mechanic said my air pressure was down all the way around. He brought them up to where the tires are supposed to be and haven't had the problem since.
So much for dealer prep.

Already checked the air...
The ******** at the dealer had over inflated my tires to 38
all the way around. I wondered why the ride was almost as bad as my last car, Probe GT. Removed the air and it was much better (the ride). I am just wondering if the caliper could be dragging or rotors out of round? I do not have pulsing when I stop and have not cranked on the brakes at all as per the break in instructions. Hence no hard driving what so ever.

due to the way the cars are shipped...strapped down...you get a free alignment from the dealership to correct any problems. i would bring this up with your dealership and see if it corrects your problem. since its free, it can't hurt. if they tell you they have already done it before you bought the car, well you can believe them but i wouldn't. make them do it again.

vibration
My solution was to have Nissan replace, at their expense, my stock Bridgestone Potenza's with Michelin Pilot MXM4. That solved my ride problems. I had this done @ 3600 miles; I began complaining 1 week after I bought the car.
I had the dealer balance and adjust road force variance (ask yours if he has the equipment..the process matches the high spot on the rim to the low spot on the tire. This is a very serious and necessary adjustment that the factory is supposed to set, but my dealer found the specs way out and adjusted). I also had an independent dealer balance. The car never felt like the wheels were balanced and the ride quality was awful..my 93 rode better.
After the tire swap, ALL my problems were gone. The Michelin's deliver a flawless ride.
Now, if they will do something about the paint...

Balance, Alignment...???
Do you have VR rated tires or the grades below?
It could be the tires! or the balance! or the alignment!, etc...
By owning a '96 maxima before and having that same problem, I had a high speed balance (130mph) performed at one of the high performance outlets in the Atlanta area on my 2k1 max just to combat any problems from the beginning.
Get a professional to look at it!
It should not cost you that much.
