Installing new struts and wondering if I should put dust boots on. What else besides the strut mounts will I be re-using?

I didnt put mine and I dont have any problem. But I live in sunny Cali and my weather here is nice

if you are going to drop your car...make sure you trim your stock bumpstop so it will fit your lower spring.

Yes, they are there to protect the piston rod. Once you start getting contamination on the rod, the strut will eventually start leaking. You will reuse the bump stops along with the bearings and dust boots.

Good question. Maybe there is not an easy way to put a dust boot or cover between the spring and shock. I will just say that if you get a nick in your chrome rod on the coilover, you will eventually cut up the seals and the shock will fail.

If you don't reuse the dust boots off your OEM struts, where can you buy dust boots? Also, are they model specific?

Very good question I was wondering the same thing? Can I just purchase these from Autozone? Do they make different colors?
