Just got my car back , and i thought my car was responsive before , throttle response is on the money!!! Also that annoying rattle on startup is gone.

Car feels great!!! Better than when i brought it in August.

Really did you replace it when your car was fairly new? I see that your car is a 2003. Mine is a 2002, i had 25,XXX miles when i brought mine , now i have exactly 50,XXX. I could feel a diffrence....

Unless the sensors were bad, this is commonly referred to as the placebo effect , especially the part about the rattle.

True but...on the reacll notice, it did mention a bad crank angle sensor could cause one of the two issues: totally shutting down the engine or causing loss of power.

I can't speak for everybody Maxima but my own, and to me , after they replaced mine sensor, my Max felt and had better response.

If you find a good dealer, you can get it done without the letter. I just called my local dealer one day to make an appointment since my VIN was included in the recall. I still have not received a letter and my car was done on January 8. I had this info printed out with me when I went but I never had to show it to the service advisor.

Called my Dealer (Gerald Nissan Naperville, IL) today and made appointment for Next Friday the 6th to replace the sensor. The guy helping me was very nice and made everything very easy for me.

Hopefully I can feel some improvements in the terms of throttle response, to be honest the Electrical throttle control on my 2k2 is not as responsive as my other 97 Maxima SE at home that uses regular cable throttle.

you dont need a letter. just call ur local dealer and tell em u need a recall. i had mine done monday and no difference.

i went again today cuz the maf i needed and some other parts came in from japan. i had a lack of power tsb and wind noise done without a problem. ecu was also flashed. car feels much better, more responsive, definetly more power, especially as lower rpm where it used to lack.

i definetly recommend first nissan for service
