You can tell that your control arm is broken if your car cannot stand on it's own.

look at the shock for fluid leaking and condition, control arm bushings make loud noise over bumps when they are broken...hit any large pot holes???

I just had this problem...clunking/rattling noise over bumps and bumpy roads and poor overall car "feel" and handling .....it was a bad front right strut. There was no leaks from the strut or anything you could see, but the strut was replaced (under warranty, I might ***) and problem solved.

Thanks guys,
I have Tokicos, aren't they covered by some kind of lifetime warranty?
Oh yeah I did hit a big pot hole that bent my rim too.

They are covered under the warranty if there's no damage to the piston of the struts.
