Maxine held her own today...

Coming back from lunch i am approaching a light and so is a 94ish 95 Z28,we are both doing about 10 -15 mph to the light. The light turned green and we both happen to punch it, crazy i know....! I pulled a full car length on the Z28 and kept a full car length on him up to 65 mph. At 65 he was by my rear fender , by 75ish he finally passed me. No reason to go faster so i let off , and so did he.

But i am really amazed that my Max held her own against that Z28. I thought the min we punched it i was going to see tailights from the get go. I have a hunch if we would have started from a stand still , this story might have been diffrent. But none the less i was impressed...

Thanks for the compliment! But honestly i wasn't trying to race the guy, i was going to punch it anyway because i needed to get back to work off my lunch break. It just happend to be a fluke the guy punched his Z28 at the same time.

A V6 camaro, without a significant amount of work, wouldnt gain on a 2k2. Good race I say!

Positive... the car had the Z28 wheels, badge, dual pipes that are seperated for that vintage and had that unmistakable V8 rumble when he got on it. Trust me i know my cars. I have OWNED many v6 camero's before with my Max even modded ones. Usually when i race them there is no catching up .When i raced them in TTZ is was joke! This guy was running me down pretty hard even though my max held him off to 75. I am not ashamed to be whipped by any vehicle , but i was highly impressed the Max was able to keep her own for a short while. Like i said , if this was an off the line race , i would be OWNED!!!!
