350 Z calipers on Max???

Wondering if the Brembo brake calipers from the 350Z would bolt up to 02 Maxima? I like the looks of the Brembo's and if it would be as simple as a trip to the junk yard and unbolting them from a wrecked 350 I would try to update my car with a set.

good luck finding a wrecked 350Z. I'm curious if they would fit too.

let alone a wrecked Track Edition 350Z...

I can't imagine that the only difference in the braking system is the calipers. I would assume they are larger rotors as well. Actually, I just checked, they are completely different...

DaveB quoated the price to us awhile back it. It actually cheaper doing Brembo's kit for the maxima form tirerack.com or a wrecked G35C MT.

I think the only way to go is to find a wrecked max...I know 350z owners selling their brembo brakes and getting setups like stop tech and other co's for what they sold their stock brembo's for...I think they go around $2k if not more

I just read something somewhere stating that a test of all the Bremo packages on any of the Infiniti's stopped no shorter than the factory spec.

All show, no slow.

It had been written here very often by those of us that have brake kits that they dont really do anything for 'one-stop panic-type stops' but rather show their benefit only on repeated heavy braking conditions, such as on a track, autocross, Solo I, etc.

60-0 stopping distances are governed principally by the coefficient of friction between the tires and the road, not by the brake setup, provided of course that either setup is strong enough to induce wheel lock-up or ABS activation.

The other benefit of really high-tech brake kits -those with two-piece rotors, forged aluminum calipers, etc- is weight reduction: my kit reduced a total of 8 lbs of unsprung weight per front axle...enough that you could feel an improvement in ride as well...

Last time I priced it, a Grand Turismo Brembo kit would be better and cheaper.

Yup, with my SS line upgrade I also got Boeing 747 calipers and discs....man I BREATHE on the brake pedal and the tires flat spot in a millisecond and I slide right off into the trees....it is FREAKING AWESOME, 20 inch rotors give the best braking EVER!

Is that considered sarcasm?

I can remember where I read it. It has been bothering me for the last day trying to figure it out. It was credible from my recollection.
