please please please look around for one of the many forums on this subject....this question always ends up starting a war between 5th gen and 5.5th gen guys about who's car is better, etc etc etc...

But to not start a war here and just give you the basics:
2k2+ has more hp, more torque
2k2+ has alteeza tails, <2k1 has black tails
2k2+ has HIDs (you can put them on <2k1 for $$)
They have different body kits and bumpers, all subjective what looks better
2k2+ have different rims
2k2+ have 6-speed manual (<2k1 has 5-sp)
Otherwise, it has alot to do with what options you get on it - oviously you can get a 5th gen cheaper than a 5.5th gen with the same options.
They are both awesome and you will enjoy any of them....drive them and see, and get what you can afford. welcome to the org.
