What do you guys think of 2k-2k1 tails on Silver? Which do you prefer? I have my preference, but I'm curious if most agree...

They both look good on silver... consider yourself lucky, but the 2k-2k1 SE tails are definately more aggressive...

 

On a light-colored Maxima, the clear housing looks better. On a dark-colored Maxima, the smoked tail lights look better.

I know I'm in the minority, but I like the 02-03 tails better. Only part I don't like is the amber lens. The only time I like the 00-01 better is on superblack...

I agree with Triple8Sol. I swapped 00's for 03's on my grey lustre and love the new look.

I think it has to do with what look you are going for black for speed, clear for luxury. Just my .02.

 

Personally, I love the 2k-2k1 tails. It looks more aggressive than the clear ones. IMO, the clears on 2k2-2k3 almost look rice. they should have kept them black. but that's just me.

 

First thing I did on my sterling mist was to get the 2k2-2k3 tails, I think it looks great on the lighter colors as well....

 

this is what i used to believe...until this thread -- the 00/01 SE tails look really sharp on the 02/03's...i just hate the amber (that is why I redded it out but it's okay)

really depends on the color, the lighter colored cars the 02/03's tails look better and the darker colors the black. The only color they both look good on is on the Glacier Pearl/ and the white they used on the 00-01's.

Has anyone tried to paint the inside of the 2k2/2k3 tails with darker colors?

 

Clear tail lights looks so ghey on my black Maxima.

I agree with that, I actually like the clears on all applications, but I do love the black tails on a black Max.

 

I like both tails, I think on my car tho I like the 2k2 tails better than the 2k1...

BTW, I think the 02-03 tails give a nice clean look compared to the 01 SE tails.

 

I like the black tails, but then again, I have a black 2k, so I'm not really impartial.

I think the 02-03 lights look more expensive (luxury), the 00-01 lights more sporty. It would be nice if they came out with a black (or body color) cover for the 02-03 lights.

 

Alright, judging by the responses so far, it looks like the 2k3's are preferred on Silver - So, what do you guys think of this idea?? Which looks better? I have a guess...

 

I just bought a pair of 2k2 tails. I need the 2k2 bulb harness to put them in.

I think they should have made the 2k2s without the amber lense.

Does anyone like the red tails like the 00 AND 01 gxe's came with LOL........ I didn't think so.

 

The best looking lights on the silver are the red clear photoshopped by Housecor. I'd get those if I had a silver or lighter colored car.

 

I think the smoked 2K-2K1 tails look good on the Glacier Pearls, black, and of course, Sunlit Sand (since I have one). As for the 2K2-2K3 tails, I think they look good on the silver and Titanium and Merlo's, but definitely not the black!

 

Man that White lens 02/03 photoshop looks good, thats how they should have been!

 

Yeah, that's my favorite thus far too. I remember seeing someone on the org cleared out their blinker like my photoshop, but I can't seem to hunt it down. I know it's a very difficult project...
