Update on tranny / opinion on wheels

Well, I am getting a new tranny....

After my fight with the dealership, I am paying a lot less than they wanted

Once that is all said and done, I will be starting on the upgrades.

I'm going for 20's with air suspension.

My goal is to lay it completely on the ground.

Wondering if anyone on here has done this on a 5th gen? I think I have everything set as far as parts and where to get them, but suggestions are welcome.

I was looking at some Velocity wheels.
They make this wheel in 5x114.3 with 40mm offset, the tire size I am looking at is 245/35/20.

What do you guys think?

Pics will be up as soon as possible.

The wheels will be ordered today, and the air suspension in about 2 weeks.

I'll keep you guys updated.

I can't find the link right now...

I'll post it when I find it again. Should have put it in my favorites...

It was a 4 cylinder kit, 4x4's in the front and 3.5x6's in the rear.
I'm going to find out if the 4x6's will fit in the front, cuz I want the thing to lay down.

It says in the description he has Eibachs...

No air susp.

The reason I'm actually doing the car this way is to avoid anymore racing/speeding tickets. I'd rather just roll around now.

I have like 23 tickets on my record from owning sports cars. I lost my license 5 times before I was 21. It got the the point in my old home town that I knew most of the cops by their first name, and the ALL knew me. They were cool about it though. Usually gave me a break every time they pulled me over. I have like 15 "misuse of power" tickets on top of those others (they were just a town ordinance, no points, no DMV issues). They liked giving me those tickets.

They can give you reckless operation tickets for 1/4 mile long burnouts, but they liked me enough not to. It helps when you are blatant about it and drive a Firebird Formula with a license plate that says "SMOKEM" I actually couldn't believe that they measured it, but they said that it was the longest one they had seen and wanted to know exactly how long it was. 350hp in a RWD auto is so fun when you hold the gas and the brake at the same time. Just roll along and watch the smoke.

I'm over that now (sort of) and want something to just cruise around it.

Of course the S14 with an SR20DET swap is in the near future for drifting

I got the tranny from the dealership.

I paid $750 (tax included). Unfortunately, my car still slips from 1st to 2nd. I brought it back and they "could not duplicate the problem" I'm guessing its the TCM. I'll bring it back again when the tranny is full of metal again, and maybe they will see it is still having a problem.
