Does anyone know how to remove the spoiler?? I got the screws out but it is 3M taped to the trunk.......I was thinking of using a heat gun but that might mess up my pain......any suggestions would be great.

I would not suggest removing the spoiler entirely... go to you r local lowes/home depot and buy a right angle driver! I know milwalkee makes one. Money extreemly well spent.

do what maxima-2 suggested. Otherwise, you are making more work for yourself than you need. A right angle driver is a great tool to own!

Do you know which screws take the light out? Is it the 2 far ones or the 2 close ones? Or all of them. And do you know if it would be hard to get the wire into the trunk when i try to run it from the new light? Do yu think that a right angle driver would be able to fit under the spoiler and the top of the trunk?

AS far as the wires are concerned after you unscrew the light and un hook the wires in the trunk tape a srting/other piece of iwre to the existing lights wire which is being removed. You can then use this second string/wire to "fish" the new lights wire through.

I certainly hope the dealer doesn't have to remove the spoiler to replace a burned out brake light!

Just in case anyone else has a 2000 SE maxima and is trying to remove the spoiler light, you DO need to remove the spoiler to do this. There are 3 screws that you need to take out and the third middle one can't be removed unless you take the spoiler off. I just did this but i didnt take the spoiler off and I destroed the light(but not my car) Just in case anyone was wondering
