I will have to pay for TSB?!

spoke to the service guy that had my car in for the clutch howl TSB, before the repairs he called me and stated that i will have to pay for the TSB.

the reason for it is because the TSB is just "a service aid to the mechanic" and since the clutch looses the warranty at 12,500 miles then i will have to pay for the TSB, i tried arguing with him but he would not budge. said that a TSB doesnt make items free for repair since its not a recall.....

i laughed at him and told him ill talk to him when i get to the service center..

is he right or is he trying to weasel his way out of this??

Its kind of a way of car companies to weasel their way out of fixing every car that fits the descriptions. Funny that they acknowledge it exist but wont admit to their problem and fix it for free. IF you argue enough with the rep, and scream and yell, they will fix it.

recall is for problems that could cause "injury or loss of life"
it does suck for us but if they fixed every little problem that came up (after warranty) they would be broke, or we would have to pay alot more for the car.

I had my clutch fixed under warranty at 22,000 miles. No charge to me.

You might want to take it to another dealer. Or did your dealer do the work already and now wants to charge you for it? If so, good luck on arguing with the Nissan guys.

just to add to the motivation, take it to another dealer. be sure to emphasize your complete dissatisfaction with the service station for a problem that "should not exist to begin and is why it should be covered under warranty".....maybe they'll have a change of heart. and if not, then start off fresh with a new dealer. isn't it great they don't share customer information with each other.
