mass airflow sensor replacement

air intake was installed/removed b4 I got my 2002 se 6-sp. Wires were also spliced going to MAF. chk engine light on about once every other month and goes off 2 days later. Code: mass airflow sensor. slight rough idle/hesitation on accel. {Nowhere near a complaint - this nismo RULES!}

If installing used MAF do I need to have dealer remap ECU? I was told it would correct itself and not to have it done. I also saw info stating this must be done on certain vehicles. There were postings on cleaning w/electrical cleaner too. Worth a shot b4 replacing?

Dont need to have it reflashed. Just simply replace the MAF.

Be sure to reset the ECU before you start the car with the new MAF. Instructions are on my web-site.
