They are stuck together pretty good with that gooey stuff. The first time I took mine off it was difficult. Be careful, but put some good force into it. Also check for nuts on the inside again there are 4 of them in there that hold the lamp in place.

Once you have the screws out, wiggle the plastic casing around and pull!

This is what I did to get it out. Press up one palm against the back of the light and the other palm against the back of your car...kind of like your trying to pop a basketball. Apply force.

If you don't work out your chest or triceps, good luck trying to pop it out. It takes a good deal of energy.

Yeah, heat it. I took mine out twice. The first time in the winter, and I used a heat gun. The second in summer when it was 90 degress outside. Just apply heat around the lights and pull slowly. Takes a few minutes.

it doesnt take a hammer to undo some glue genious. if you saw 4 bolts, took them out then realized its not comming out, wouldn't you sit down and think for a second? right back at you genious.

Oh, sorry then, it sounded like you were trying to diss...whats with the deezo smiley.

Ive never opened the ae headlight but ive opened my 2k2's. Im pretty sure its the same. Take out any screws you can find that look like they hold the plastic to the housing. then go over it with a heatgun slowly and get it really nice and hot. dont melt anything. get a towel and try to separate. itll be hard at first, but itll get better.

why are u trying to open them?
