brake problem/dilemma

so I've had these powerslot rotors on my 2k3 with hawk front pads and axxis rear pads....

the stopping, albeit a bit better than stock still squeals like a bish and I've had them for maybe 2k miles now.

my assumption is, that hawk pads suck and I should replace them.

Anybody with ideas what would be better for powerslot rotors on a 2k2-2k3??

thanx in advance

shabby, did u use break grease on the outside of the pad? which one did u use? did you reuse the stock metal things that were on the stock pads?

sup dawg? tell u the truth, I dunno....I gave my 4 powerslot rotors, hawk front pads and rear axxis pads to the mechanic and said, "Install these please"

couple hours later, presented with a $100 bill, gave him a Ben Franklin and I was out the door.

i have brembo rotors and PBR brake pads and mine squeals at low speed too...
the pads are probably glazed.. take them out.. white the rotors and used 800 grit sand paper to sand down the pads a little...

scopium-I tried to follow their guidelines to properly "seat" the brakes and even with slow, short quick stops for the first 550 miles, they seem to stop for ****.

I might just invest the $50 and buy some better ones....
