2K Maxima SE Service Engine light

MY Service engine light keeps on coming on. I had the codes pulled at Autozone and it said an ignition problem. The guy at Autozone said it was most likely the spark plugs. Well I went ahead and pulled all the spark plugs and they all had way to much gap. So I bought some Bosch Platinium +2 and replaced all six. Then today I was going to work, when all of the sudden the light came back on. One thing to note is that the light came on at the same place both times. It came on when I was going around a big turn (for those in Atlanta, where I-75 South after Delk Rd. connects to I-285 West). My engine never seems to be lacking power or acting like one of the cylinders is misfiring. A guy who was at the Autozone said I needed to replace my spark plug wires as well as my spark plugs. Is this true? I looked at the wires and they all looked in good condition. Plus wires are not normally something that goes bad unless there is a major problem or the car has been around for a while (I have 70,000 miles on my car). The only other thing I can think of is that maybe when I was going around the corner that there was a lose wire that just happened to break contact for a second. The only problem is that after I replaced my spark plugs I went two weeks on the same curve with out any problems. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Don't listen to the idiot at Autozone. More than likely you have a failing or failed ignition coil. If you have the code pulled again at Autozone bring the codes here. Sometimes it will give info on which specific cylinder the coil is bad on. If it's a multiple misfire then more than likely you are going to have to replace all 6 coils.

I wouldnt recommend installing any other spark plugs other than NGK. Bosch arent designed for japanese cars and I have heard negative feedback from people who were running europeans spark plugs on a Maxima. Also, what was the error code pulled? If its P1320, then its the ignition coils. Common signs are the engine rattling, cylider misfire, car drives like crap and etc. Dont listen if they tell you to replace only a couple of coils. Go with all six and save yourself future hassle.

Yes the code of P1320, hmm, my car is running fine, so I suppose that it must be getting near failure. Is this something that you would buy aftermarket, or is it better to get a Nissan Branded coil? Also has anyone else had to replace theirs, if so how hard would you rate this? Thanks

You can pick up a set of 6 Nissan coils for ~$300 from Dave Burnette - also, if you replaced all 6 spark plugs, replacing all 6 coils is the same process - you have to pull the coils out to get to the spark plugs so, it's a simple DIY job.

So how to you look at the spark plug wires if there aren't any?
Do as other have said -- save yourself some future grief and order a set
of coils from DaveB (see parts sticky for his info). The problem is only going to
get worse...
