Cut off resonator?

I just got my Stillen Y-pipe isntalled and noticed the b pipe's has two crushed sections every one talks about. I was wondering if I could just replace the resonator by cutting it out and clamping on a straight pipe. Will this make my car hella loud and obnoxious or it won't do any performance gain whatsoever. THanks for your help.

P.S. Im not looking to replace the whole b pipe either.

Well if thats the case then i just wont respond to your stupid freakin post! J/K man... Im assuming that you still have a stock muffler. Regardless of that I personally think having no resonator and an aftermarket "Y" would still make the sound kind of loud. People who have replaced just their stock B-pipe with a custom one that has a resonator have reported an increase in sound.

ive got a cattman y and custom b with no resonator to the stock muffler. i cannot tell any difference inside the cabin at all. the only time i can hear a tone difference is if i stand behind the car when its first started in the morning. ive been meaning to get some videos up soon and recording the sound was a part of it. if you cut it out and dont like the sound then you can always have it welded back. just my opinion that there is no difference that you will notice in the car.

youve got to free up some power by increasing exhaust flow when you cut the resonator out and get rid of the horrible crimps. just make sure they take out the 2 crimps in the b pipe and you should free up a few ponys and get in my opinion, a nicer tone.
