Nice. But won't you get ticketed for have non-DOT-approved taillights? I believe you are required to have red back there.

Peace.

Not feeling them, but if you don't want to get pulled over, you're going to have to install Red bulbs in the tails and red reflectors. Clear tails are legal - the Lexus RX proves that - but you must have red reflectors.

I have the same tail lights on my car with a clear spoiler light. I advise you to take pictures of your stock tails with the amber and red so if you get a ticket plead not guilty and send in a picture with the ticket.......its automatically dismissed....just make sure that your license plate is visible in the pic

I've got the same tail lights on my car. Pics are available at my web-site. You can get the lights from Southwest AutoWorks.

you dont plead to an arainment. and the cop doesnt have to show. so the commisioner or judge will charge you. Keep it legal, those lights are ugly anyways,

Nice attitude. I think the cop is probably thinking the same thing, though. "I hope she doesn't show up to court and her license gets suspended! **** her!"

everybody makes such a big deal about these lights not being legal. however, majority people on here have clear corners as well and nobody makes such a gripe about these being legal or not. technically they are illegal no matter what bulbs you have in there, both corner and taillights. plus he didnt ask if they were or not. its not your problem if he gets pulled over so there is no point in making such a huge deal out of it.

look pretty good to me by the way!

That’s the trouble with this forum. Even though the rules clearly forbid discussions on illegal activity, here we are posting, bragging and supporting it, and suggesting ways to get around the law if caught. Isn’t there a moderator out there with a delete key on his or her computer?

You could put rainbow bulbs in there and it still wouldn't matter. You have to reflect red to be legal.

That's the second time you've posted saying the cop never showed up in court. But neither time did you claim to have gotten out of the ticket because of it.

Unless you supboena the cop, which is much different than merely pleading not guilty, who cares if he doesn't show up? The judge will use what the officer has written on the back of the ticket as testimony against you. So unless you can prove the officer wrong, I highly doubt the ticket will be dismissed soley on their absence in court.

And great advice for all of our readers out there. When you have your 18th birthday in a few years and mature a bit I hope your attitude changes.

There is nothing illegal about putting clear corners, taillights, etc. on your car. As stated on the packaging, they are legal for shows and off-road use. Therefore, discussion of these is acceptable on the forum. How orgers use these products is a separate issue.

I guess you just like to argue, but nowhere in this thread is there any mention of shows or off-road use. But there’s lots of talk about f*cking cops, being pulled over, and how to beat tickets.

This is not true in all states. When I lived in NJ, the prosecutor would still be able to prosecute if the cop didn't show. In FL (Tampa to be exact), if the cop doesn't show, you walk. No ticket, no points, no court costs, nothing. I've walked on 2-3 speeding tickets because the cop didn't show. I'm not proud I was speeding (nor that I got caught), just giving examples.

Jessa,

I apologize...I was having a bad week. I know you how old you really are because I read your profile & I was just trying to embarass you. In fact, I embarassed myself. I didn't agree with your philosophy and got carried away.

Sorry.
